Chris Twiggs

Formerly a college English Professor, Chris puts his writing and teaching skills to good use supporting training programs in close to 100 cities world-wide and customizing training schedules for hundreds of individuals through Galloway Customized Training Plans. Since 1994 when Chris first read Jeff Galloway’s original best-selling book GALLOWAY’S BOOK ON RUNNING, Chris has used the run-walk-run method to finish close to 100 marathons and ultra-marathons, including qualifying for the prestigious Boston Marathon, qualifying for a preferred spot in the New York City Marathon, finishing several Ironman Triathlons, and finishing the Hardrock Hundred, an ultra-marathon widely recognized as the hardest trail 100 mile race in the world, an amazing 13 consecutive times. 

Currently, Chris serves on the Board of Directors for both Marathon High, an organization that uses Jeff Galloway’s methods to train high-schoolers to run half-marathons as a way to build character and self-esteem through the positive effects of running, and The DONNA, the only marathon in the United States dedicated entirely to raising funds for breast cancer research and supporting women living with the disease.

 Chris has been married and running with his wife Diana for 25 years, and together they have three beautiful children who are all quite accomplished runners in their own rights.
